A yoga flow to help alleviate chronic low back stiffness and sciatic pain that often occurs when we sit or stand for long periods during the day with poor posture. This is a practice you can keep returning to, again and again, to build strength and flexibility to provide some immediate relief, and help prevent low back pain and sciatica pain from returning in the future. Aside from that, it’s just a really fun flow.

We begin today’s practice with a calming breath exercise called “diaphragm breathing” which helps to restore your body to a state of inner calm and stillness. Next a few stretching exercises to release accumulated stress and tightness in the hips, low back, and all along the length of the sciatic nerve. Then it’s a fun, full body yoga flow with extra emphasis on stretching and strengthening all the muscles that support low back and sciatic nerve health.
