Today’s affirmation:
My body is a gift through which I experience and enjoy this life. I love and appreciate my body. I send loving kindness and compassion to all the parts of me that need it most right now.

Today’s Journal Exercise:
Write down 10 things about your body that you’re fascinated or amazed by. Then pick one or two things on your list and during the day when you’re actually using whatever it is you find amazing, turn that moment into a little mindfulness meditation. Bring an awareness of that sense of fascination and amazement to what’s happening in your body, and observe your experience. If you’d like you can write about your experience in your journal. Awesome job today! I love you lots, and I’ll see you tomorrow for day 9.

Lower Back Pain? Don’t Forget the Hips

For many people with lower back pain, the problem may not be in the back at all, but rather in a piece of real estate a few inches lower: the hips.
