More Facts About Osteoporosis
In the early stages of osteoporosis, people usually do not experience any pain, nor do they have other symptoms that might alert them that a problem exists. The symptoms generally become noticeable once the bones have already weakened.
Relieving Sciatic Nerve Pain Caused by Piriformis SyndromeBeing the largest nerve in a person’s body, the sciatic nerve is naturally prone to different types of conditions that can lead to sciatic nerve pain or sciatica. A person suffering from sciatica may experience varying degrees of pain shooting down from the buttocks and spreading to the lower legs, sometimes even affecting the feet and the toes.
Sciatic Nerve Pain: Understanding What This Symptom Is All AboutSciatica is usually the term that describes symptoms of a leg pain that feels numb, weak or tingling. The pain travels from the lowermost portion of the back, down the buttocks, and then straight to the large sciatic nerve that is located at the back of the legs. Most individuals who have been diagnosed with sciatic nerve pain usually get better with time which could last for as little as a few weeks to a month or more.
Sciatic Nerve Pain: What It Is All AboutWhen the sciatica nerve gets inflamed, the symptom is called Sciatica. This is characterized by a sharp pain and some tenderness that runs through the length of the sciatic nerve and straight through the thighs and the legs. Generally, sciatic nerve pain starts at the buttocks or the lower portion of the back and goes down to the back of the thigh and the lower part of the leg, then in some cases, to the topmost part of the foot. Specifically, a few spinal nerve roots leave the cord and go out through the holes of the sacrum to form the sciatic nerve. This later passes from the muscles of the buttocks to the muscles found in the back of the thighs.
Generally There Are Six Major Sciatica CausesSciatica applies to a group of symptoms that are generally caused by an ache in the lower back called a radiculopathy which occurs when a nerve root that is adjacent to the sciatic nerve is irritated or pressed together. A few different low back disorders can lead to sciatica. There are six major sciatica causes that you may come across such as lumbar herniated disc.
